Door Signal stuck open on DIC

Guys, My door signal on the DIC is saying my passenger door is open and it chimes constantly! I have replaced the entire passenger door latch and wired the black and black and white wire together to close the curcuit for the door and nothing has worked yet. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
 


AAAHHHHH YAHTZEE!!! thats the best way to get elc problems start tracing wires. That sucks that you put that new latch in too

It needed it anyway my alarm has nuisance issues because it thinks one of the doors is open. What really sucks is I have to keep replacing them until I find the culprit!
 


hmmm:th_scratchhead: when you say alarm are you talking the chime? or the actual vehicle alarm for theft deterent? 4dr or coupe?
 
alrighty. Have you checked the door lock actuators? coupe makes it easier for you since theres only 2 to check instead of 4
 


The switch for the DIC and alarm is in the door latch thet the striker goes into that I replaced last night. They get dirty or wore out and send a false signal to the alarm that a door is bieng opened so I hope I replaced the faulty one last night but I wont find out for a bit because I am leaving thurs for a 9 day trip I will re arm the alarm once I get back and see if I get the ussual 3 am wake up call or not and thats the only way I will know if I found the bad one.
 
right on if it keeps on check the actuators there by the locks. sometimes when they fail they can fool the car in thinking that its alarm time
