door moulding removal

has anyone removed the door moulding the almost like the bumpers on the doors

Yeah its been done. I believe its not just taped on there, I think when you remove them, there will be holes into the door that you will need to fill and paint

they are just alignment pins.

it's double sided tape, but the pins go through the door to align it easily. you'll need to fill and repaint.

a pic of a white coupe, might do this to mine one day if i ever paint it again, and if i did it i would fill in the bumper lines too

having a black stripe on the side of your car is going to look awful. just save your effort.
