Door Lock Issue

Hey guys,

Looking for a little help/advice here. I bought some leather/heated seats from someone I found on here and swapped them in to replace my cloth seats around last October ('13). I have a 2004 N/A GP and the seats were from a.... maybe a 2005? I'm not really sure, but anyways let me get to the point. I swapped them in, hooked up all of the connectors as well as the new HVAC control unit from the parts car that the seats were from but the heat seats were not "enabled" in my BCM. I also had the BCM from the parts car so I tore up my dash and swapped it in! Voila! I had working heat seats!! Problem: No start. Couldn't get the security system to let me start the car (which has NEVER happened before). I ended up going to a dealer and having them program the BCM so I could start the car and it's been well ever since. Everything to do with that has been fine, no issues... That's really just the back story to my problem.

Here goes: My power door locks un-lock whenever I want them to (ex: with the fob or door buttons) but the problem is that they do NOT reliably lock. I can hit my lock button on the fob and it'll honk but not lock, same with the door switches. I might be wrong here but I believe that this is controlled by the BCM because this issue has been intermittent since I switched BCM's. I also NEVER had a door locking issue before the BCM swap. Before I go and buy a not-so-cheap new BCM, does anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening? Whenever I hit the door lock button/switch, I hear a clicking(relay I assume) in the area of the BCM. I can only hear it when the door locks don't actually actuate, but it might happen when they do actuate... it's just that the lock actuation is loud enough that I can't hear the quiet clicking from the dash.

Thoughts and input are MUCH appreciated! Thanks!!

so both doors wont lock, or is it just one side?

maybe bcm related if its both, find it hard to believe that both lock actuators went bad at the same time. but worth checking them out, unplug them and test for power at the plug when the fob or lock button is pushed.

check the fuse box for a blown fuse to for sh its and giggles. under the hood fuse box too.

All 4 will not lock consistently. They either all do or they all don't. It may not work with 10 tries in the morning after going to work, but when I get home at night it might work after one try. There's no consistency to it. Also thanks for the quick reply!

Also: the actuators aren't bad, they all unlock just fine. When the door locks don't lock correctly, you can't hear any actuation in the doors. It's not like they are trying, but can't.... (which is what a bad actuator usually does when it's on it's way out I believe) It's just that they don't try to lock the doors at all.... as if they aren't getting the signal for some reason

seems like they are trying to unlock it when its already unlocked maybe.

if you go into programming mode theres different setting for the locks, like they lock when you put it in drive, unlock when put back in park, head lights flash or not. maybe going into this and resetting some things will sync it back up.

then theres always the good old unhook the battery for 1 hour and hope it resets the bcm.

you can also unplug it and make sure the contacts are clean. the bcm that is.

Yeah, they try to lock when I put in drive, but it's usually unsuccessful. They always unlock when I pull the key out of the ignition
