Need for speed most wanted, it cheats. I felt like I was 10, I questioned the game as if it was going to talk back lol.
At the finish line the damn racers magically blow past you and you can't even catch up.
good thing I didnt buy it

It does seem that way. Looking at the mini map making sure the others are behind me a decent distance, then suddenly one flies up on you like he's doing 500 mph. I suppose it's only fair though, since the pro-level powershot boost will give you basically the same ability.

I've found it weird that beating most of the "most wanted" racers has been cake. I would think those races would be harder, but I've only had to retry 1 of them. I've done all but 2 of them.

No manual shifting blows.
 
turn off the catch-up stuff then and actually win the races for real. it does the exact same thing for you when you're losing and slows down the leaders.
 
I love the older one! I have it behind me in the box. Im trying to gain nitrous and the damn car blasts past me every damn time or I cant catch up unless I play like Mario Andretti
