• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

lately, at times if i go wot my car wont shift into the next gear. it will stay around 5700 rpm's and almost seem like its at a rev limiter. It will shift up if i bring my foot off the gas slightly but other than that it will stay there. I would say it feels like if you were in a manual car and just never shifted up, but like it said it wont go above 5700. I bought an overkill pcm about 2 weeks ago from another member here but it didnt do this when i first put it in so i dont think thats the problem. aside from this problem the tranny shifts through the gears nicely, no slipping or anything. Ever happen to anyone? any ideas? Thanks for any help.

I personally have not seen this issue, but my first course of action would be to unhook the battery for 15 minutes, and then hook it back up. Then after it relearns everything I would see if it does it again.

Any SES codes? Do you have a tuner?

I'd suggest driving on your old pcm for a week. Even though the issue didn't immediately happen it may be from the pcm. The way to test this is to swap back for a week and see if thw issue still exists. Then you have ruled out the item you recently swapped.

^^That...but you don't have enough mods to shell a transmission...unless you drive your car like you stole it...if the PCM is crossed off the list you might try a pan drop.

A stock car on stock programming can kill a trans. Remove abuse items, most of the torque management and I'd think it would be pretty easy to beat one into submission.

At least the way I drive. :D

thanks for the input guys. i just had to do some running around for work and it wouldnt do it... i dont think its the tranny either because i dont beat on it from a dead stop... and i dont believe gunning it from a roll is harmful enough to break anything. i dunno im leaning torwards the tune. if i swap pcms how would i be able tell if thats the problem? i think i would be worried to go wot on my stock tune with my 3.6 pully. thanks again

Is it a press on or a MPS system? Buy a stock sized MPS pulley, but then again a 3.6" isn't really going to kill you with a stock tune as long as you have supporting flow mods.

If that is the case then wtf was I doing wrong shelling all these motors LMAO!!

its a mps system... anyone have one? dont feel like spending 60 bucks for a stock size pulley. maybe ill just see if i can get another tune from will and see if it fixes eveything up
