Donkey stomped GP GXP

Lol nice kill, i think he wanted to test his car against yours. Then when he looses he fills up gas and goes to return the gxp, lol.

Next week my bro and will be looking for a Suv and when hes doing all the paper work ill be test drive this GP GXP they had at this car max, That is if its still there.

Wow you guys make it seem like gxp's are just dog slow... I would hope with the extensive work you guys have done to your cars that a stock gxp would loose... If not then was the modding even worth it?

I see... Well I own both and I'm pretty sure the gxp is faster than my gtp... Stock for stock...

yeah stock for stock...
but id suspect with a good 3.4 setup on a gen v it would be a pretty good race.

Why not just get a gxp if you have to do all of that for it to be a good race? I mean I love my gtp, but that's a lot of work just to keep up with a supposedly slow car...

headers, a tune and a pulley are alot? and you still get better gas mileage? andd you still have room for alot more upgrades?

And the fact that it cost just about double for gxp mods plus a transmission like matt said. And the fact that there are barely any mods to throw at them. If you bump the performance on that gxp... You will be buying a tranny. Soo let's go over this..

Doug thorley headers-800? (I think I'm being modest here)
Cam- around 300-400.. Same as a 3.8 so it is what it is.
For shots and giggles.. Cartuning tubo-4000-4500?
And a tranny-easy 2k...

So unless you have the right connections.. A 3.8 Is Gonna cost less to mod and outperform the gxp

Ok. I'm not really into modding and I like my gtp, so a natural transition was to the gxp when I wanted something faster.

And I agree with you, I would love to get ahold of a gxp, I've had so many chances to get this one white 07 for 9k with 80k on it. Twice actually, it was at a big dealership by me and I had them at 9k cash. Then it disappeared, i found another white one 30 miles away where I go to school by some guy that owns a small drove thru and dealership. He had it sitting out and I stopped to talk to him. Low and behold it was the same one. I told him how I'd already talked to the previous dealer about it and he asked me what they would have sold it to me for and i told him. He was all for the price but I walked away because I realized I shouldn't be getting attached to a new car yet lol

Right I hear you... I wanted one for a couple of years but I had to wait for the prices to drop so I could afford the payments lol. I found this one gm certified bumper to bumper warranty with 43k for just under 15k.

That's about all that a GXP has over a GTP, performance wise. And no one really gives a hoot about stock cars.

Plus, a V8 with fail wheel drive is just beyond dumb. Even dumber than a supercharged V6 with fail wheel drive.
