does your car have a personality?

so i'm writing a paper based on something supernatural. i don't believe in ghosts so i tried to make it car related and i remembered how my truck would get pissed off and things would break, and then i'd be nice and they would fix themselves. so i'd like some other examples and thought this could be a fun topic. so if anybody has stories about how their car responds to how you drive it, tell about it here. and remember, a kiss goodnight goes a long way :th_thumbsup-wink:

mine loves highways. drove it to myrtle beach from ohio, 12.5 hours straight and never overheated and never got any dummy lights. sooo my car thinks its a a semi

haha nice. but have you guys ever like called it a name and something retarded happened? like, i drove my truck too hard one day and the gasket under the throttle body broke and it sounded like a teapot. A couple people said it was the alternator so i replaced that one day and it didn't do anything. I slammed the door and watched my brake fluid spill out all over the floor. i then went a my mechanic buddy, who fixed both problems, and then i called it a piece of **** and 4 of the 6 bulbs in my taillights burnt out... at the same time.

my 89 silverado i had years ago definatly had an attitude
it hated being yalled at it would run rough but talk nice and it purred sounds weird but it worked

My Buick Park Ave would run rough, and all you had to do was take a test drive in some thing else, and it would run great, shift fine. It knew if it didn't quit being a b!T(#, it was going to be traded in.

well my '97 blazer would break down if i ever said any thing negative about it, so i talked about it like it was a bentley

Something breaks on my GP anytime I talk about getting another car. So I learned not to talk like that in front of her lol

my old 77 chevy like to be abused, if i looked at another car or woman it would get pissy and run rough start hard, ect ect, but if i gave it a bit of domestic abuse it would act great, it like a nice slap on the dash, some dirty names. she just liked abuse alot, after the abuse i would have to treat her nice and cuddle but she wouldnt act up again till i pissed her off about once a month. come to think of it, it leaked tranny fluid sometimes. must have been on its rag.

The relationship between my car is like a love/hate relationship, you start to feel more comfortable with it then, bam! it shreds a transmission, few months later i start liking it again, Bam! Chips two pistons... It just goes on and on. It's like it knows that i will not get rid of it or something.

its truely weird that cars act up like that I mean ive seen it and know it happens its just weird

Im pretty sure thats why my moms f150 runs like crap for her and great for me she abuses it and treats it like an unwanted child and i wash it give it chevron gas and talk nice to it

I think my car got depressed once... i took a wrx for a test drive, then for a couple of days my gp would not start right up and she felt sluggish and lacking throttle response.. but as soon as i changed my mind and decided to keep her she was fine

i thought it was just in my head but after hearing you guys....

nah, it's definitely real. i'll post the paper i'm writing on here when i'm done with it if anybody's interested

my beretta was like that, if anyone or i talked bad about her she would break. my friend didnt believe me and said heres sarah with her p.o.s. as i was backing up into a parking place and the rack and pinion literally exploded. so i learned real quick to be sweet and nice to her.
