If so, where? And how important? '05 GP base, 3.8l non sc engine.


The red hose was found hiding under the air filter cowl but it didn't seem to be connected to anything. I thought it might have fallen off someone's can (like WD-40 straw) but the black piece at the bend seemed to suggest something else.

Nope. Thats a straw for hooking up a can of throttle body/upper intake cleaner like Seafoam.
 
not part of the car. looks like a power broom bristle from a road crew that tore off, and you picked up on the highway to me.
