If $110 means so little to you why don't you throw some my way. It's the mans money, he has the right to be pissed.
I just hate being lied to and him laimg **** like I put a fluid on it that did that and the fact that he would not answer a phone or pm once I got them means he knew what he did in my book. and not to be mean or nothing but how would you feel if it was your 110 plus in the meantime sinceI bought these. my radiator went, along with the power window motor I could have used the money to get those fixed and they are cutting back hours at work and I live alone so mortage is all on me along with utilites etc. My septic systemwent out to the tune of $2,000, my fridge died that was $1,000. and my company screwd up my health insurance so I had to pay my hospital visit on my own and tIcould not get the other tests done because it way more money than I have and the intermidaite shaft on my van went went all since april so right now $110 is money I can use plus I still have to redo my calipers so add that to the $110 and it is more than 110 but mostly its principle. I treat people fairly and was way more than fair with this guy when he kept stalling on shipping the calipers figure he was miltary and like many solidiers I have worked with he would have the same high moral standards (I am D.O.D. so I worked with many)

Logan. I am going to state the facts once again in chronological order.
1. You paid me when i was out of the ****ing country, that's why the paypal protection expired.
2. The brake calipers which you received were in well working condition with no chips, rust or dings, admittedly they had alittle brake dust and grease on them from normal ware and tear.
3. These calipers had no more then 1500 miles on them since rebuild, anyone following my vehicle thread and the members of the forum that went to the last Florida meet i held can attest to that.
4. USPS is well known for throwing packages around and damaging them and if you don't pony up for their ****ty insurance they take you for a ride. Google USPS claim's you will find many unhappy customers
5. Shipping with $30 and some change i only received exactly "$106.51 USD" since you let paypal take the 3% out by not sending it as a gift
6. After calculating the above you paid $75 for a set of used stock 97-03 Pontiac brake calipers which you received
7. USPS acknowledges the item was damaged in transit (See the ****ing stamp "RECEIVED IN DAMAGED CONDITION") And the fact they Taped the living **** out of the box after they apparently broke it wide open at one of their many "Packing throwing Olympic games facilities"
8. The shipping store i shipped it from said they did in fact put bubble wrap in it, I strongly believe after USPS broke the ****er open they couldn't fit all that **** back into a broken box so they tossed the packing material out in order to salvage the box.
9. I have photographic evidence of the item i shipped as well as the photos of what you received, i also have more then enough credible witnesses on my end as well.
10. You are not getting a thing for me on the grounds of you repeatedly calling me a lair and a thief and a fraud and on top of that discrediting my branch of service with your repeated insults. You should be ashamed. You are not the only man in America going through a rough patch with your car breaking down and bills you got yourself into.
11. I highly recommend speaking with USPS about the package. Tell them that they broke the box open while it was in their custody point out the massive USPS tape that is all over it.

Blame USPS all you want. If it was properly packaged it never would have broken open. I have shipped literally over 30,000 items and have never had an item damaged. While maybe you yourself didn't ship the item, you as the seller are responsible to make sure the item is properly packaged. It looks to me like the shipping store has no idea how to ship things. USPS will never pay a claim on that box.

You never know until you try. they gave a license to sell postage to that shipping store. they were the carriers. in the future ill charge extra for shipping and go straight UPS. my orders from them seem to be solid

Not getting involved here beyond one quick mention. I've packed a lot of stuff, if things are packed right, the issue with the box is very unlikely, yet still possible that some machine tried to eat it. Either way..if you shipped two calipers for $30, you may want to consider flat rate boxes. That could have cost $15.

ill add this, Bill packed up the rotors pads calipers and brake lines i bought from max, they came in with the boxes in tact, completely, and zero damage.
and a master cylinder some time later, both were wrapped with paper or 20 shop rite bags lol
i would never let the guy at the counter pack my delivery, its your job, not the stores. you should care, we know the store dont give a crap.
and the calipers all look like crap, all the fresh chips were defiantly done in shipping, (no rust) but the rest of the paint work is all bubbled up and flaking on its own.
and those pads look to have more then 1500 miles as well as the amount of brake dust and crud on them. i got 5,000 miles on my newly painted calipers, and they look 10 times better, dust and dirt wise.

I find this whole thread redonkulous. HS drama isn't even this bad. I think splitting the cost would be the best for both parties, but either way its a bad ordeal. I'd be pissed too.
That being said, a couple "facts" caught my attention and I'd like some clarification on them.
#5...unless they changed something since I used paypal 6 months ago... The 3% is calculated when you send the money. I always paid the extra 3%, never had it deducted from the seller before. Maybe the amount could have been rigged, but usually you put in how much, and it just adds the 3% at the end and the sender pays. Could have been just me, but I call Shenanigans.

What was the cost sale of the item? When did the transaction occur?
Spartan did you insure these items? A Large flat rate box to ship is $15.45 a piece. If no insurance, then in my opinion this is a lesson learned. Insurance would have taken care of this.
Logan, were you around when this was delivered? you could refuse delivery with a case like this for this situation.

Now if you two can work out some sort of agreement other than full refund, great. Otherwise, your are grown adults; act like it. Well I was hoping to see some responses this morning from one of you two, but I know we all can't get on all the time. I've had some time to ponder this a little more.
Logan - This is frustrating, I know but making threats of fraud isn't going to help. Furthermore, in order for it to be Fraud the value of said item needs to be at a felony amount (I think over $1,000) and the item really needs to be described as "New" for this law to take effect. Furthermore, evidence shows we really can't tell what the condition of this item before shipping and with the stamps on the box saying 'Damaged in Shipment' you really have nothing there to prove. All hope is not lost, I don't know when this transaction took place but you do have recourse to protect yourself. If the transaction took place in the last 45 days, you can file a claim; if you are over 45 days you do have recourse through your bank/credit card to charge it back.
Spartan - When you sign up for a PayPal account you agree to provide service to your buyers, basically with every sale you are entering a contract with that person to provide the product they paid for. This includes packing and shipping all the way until it’s in the buyer’s hands and they give the okay. I know your old iTrader score was 20+ that’s great, but unfortunately you could have 1 million positive reviews and that one negative will always haunt you; so let’s deal with this and move past it, you can't sit in this thread and dust your hands off and say I'm done and I have nothing to do with this, bull****, you are obligated to help rectify this situation. I understand your situation with being unemployed and broke, I know a few of us have been there and it seems like this came at the worst possible time to have this happen but this still needs to be rectify. There are a few things you can do to keep money in your pocket and make Logan happy. I have no idea if this package had insurance, if it did, you are in luck, if not, chalk this up to lesson learned. Either way, you have a leg to stand on here possibly, with that lovely stamp from USPS saying it was 'Delivered Damaged'. Since you are unemployed you should have the time to do this, you need to start calling USPS and get them to understand this situation. It is the person who SHIPPED the item that has to start the insurance/damage claim, not the RECEIVEE. Start calling if you’re not getting anywhere, hang up and call back and try a different person, ask for supervisors, make noise, rattle cages. Before long, it’s like anything at the government that gives them a headache and they will throw money at it. If you really do exhaust all possibility on that, then it looks like you two need to work out a compromise here, he does still have the ability to take action against you still.

Drunkie, No it was not shipped with insurance, the shipping store claims it left there in good condition and was likely damaged in Transit with USPS. Called USPS they said since it had been longer then 60 days and no insurance was paid on it and delivery was accepted they can't do anything about it.
Still don't explain the amount of dust and the rust.
Tried I told you what USPS said but you are OBVIOUSLY not reading what I am saying or are ignoring it, as for what you plan on doing in the future well that don't help me now does it. Again refund half the money and show you are a stand up guy to cover the cost of fixing this (and I am still taking a loss) but I already know the answer to that
