Lol I know but that's the least of my worries on the gtp right now,needs more important stuff and the se needs a harmonic balancer and something in the front end bad

I'm the same way. I hate being hot, and kc summers can be hellacious.

I have ventilated seats now, it's heaven on earth. You should swap in some cadillac seats. I feel like I've come across a thread where someone swapped in sts seats.

In a word, yes. The highest MPG I've seen on the highway is around 34, and you can bet that was with the air conditioner off and the windows down. The best I've done with the A/C on is 29 for the same highway drive.

Then again, the bearings in my A/C compressor are shot, and you can hear what sounds like a bunch of BB's rattling around in there for a day or two after I use the A/C, which probably isn't helping my case.

I just haven't gotten around to figuring out how to replace the compressor.

A junkyard A/C compressor cheaper by far, but the PITA factor of pulling out and reinstalling -two- A/C compressors if the first junkyard one is dead on arrival isn't worth the savings. Plus, 90% of the time, stuff from auto parts stores come with a lifetime warranty.

Such as the Dorman supercharger coupler that's misbehaving after only three months and will be replaced as soon as the temperature drops below 85 degrees.

I believe 45mph is the magic number. Below 45 it is more efficient to open the windows, above that use the AC. As for power loss, I dont notice it at all in the city, one the highway the difference is ever so slight.

@Neil98GT lol, my aunt had an old Chevy Corsica with the 4cyl. The AC caused some real drag in that car, and made the engine overheat.
