Do you guys know what a 99 cobra with 4.30gears,short shifter,nitto drs and everyhting else stock can run in the 1/4?
My bro in law wants to race me.
He says he can hold third gear past 125mph.
His pb has been a 13.6@? with 1.4'.
I just want to know where i stand.
My pb has been a 13.3@103 with 3* of kr(fuel issues) mods in sig.
I have added since my pb a shift kit and i'm adding 42lb injectors this coming week.

there around 13.5 stock. with the gears and dr's it should go 12's from a dig if he knows what hes doing. if he can launch hes gone.

are yall gonna race on the street??

if so i would go from a 25 roll or so. kinda high for his first kinda low for second. im sure he will still jump out on you but you should be able to real him in.

and i dought 125 in 3rd with 4.30's, more like in 4th. those gears are kinda step

This on a non aspired mustang, impressive.
Probably at the track first.
I'm going to try to race from 25-30 on street.

the gears and the tires are what gonna achive that. probably around 106mph or so. thats with a damn good launch tho on some stickey tires. most likly low 13's. the 4.30's keep it in its powerband all the time

hell, the 05+ gt mustangs are going 12's with tires intake, axel back mufflers and tune.

the thing is they get it done off the line. 105mph traps or so as the supercharged mustang (03-04) is gonna go 12's around 110-112. but thats on street tires. some sticky tires and you can see low 12's stock. i dont remember his name but some bad ass driver for MM&FF magizine can drive the **** out of some mustangs and he went 12.4 with a stock 03 cobra. stock tires and all.

i just noticed he dont have intake or exhaust so i would put it low 13's. get him off the line and i think your good

Uhh, last time I checked the 99 cobras were N/A and slow as ****. I don't think they even touch 13's stock.

99 cobra 13.5-13.8 103-105mph.

i buddy of mine had an 01 and he bracket raced his at 13.4 stock and was very competive in his class. he is also a very talented driver tho.

with the gears i give it low 13's. the cobras put out about the same power as mach 1's (which are also N/A) and they can go as low as 13.1-13.2 stock. cobra has IRS, which is a ***** to get off the line and the mach's have solid axels. just because its n/a dont mean there dogs.

DId you get the oil pressure light fixed and get that race on yet. I want to know how that one would turn out.

to be honest. I beat a stock 98GT with my BONE STOCK GTP.

a cobra is NOT much faster.

to be honest with that tall of a gear, he wont have any topend. Did he reprogram his speedo for the gear? if not the speedo will appear to be going a LOT faster than he actually is. 3rd gear with those gears...going 125..... HIGHLY UNLIKELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would say AT BEST a mid to high 13. there are cobras here in town on a 150shot and only hitting 13.20's.......

N/A's are slow. 03-04's are on a different playground.
