Just picked up a strut tower brace for ny 1997 gt do I need to remoe my struts to put it in or just drill 2 holes from the top and put that threaded piece in from the bottom

What?

A STB uses the 3 strut bolts on the top of each strut tower. If you just picked up the bar from I think a cutlass and others, you need don rome brackets, or you can drill them into the tower (not reccomended).

You do not need to remove the struts for install.

Yea I should have been clearer sorry got the bar from the JY it was from under the hood a 2000 Monte Carlo size wize it looks good

Lay the bar in place. Mark the spots, drill. Paint the open metal. Put the pieces in and the retainer clip on top to hold it in place when the bar is off. Put bar on and snug down to 20ft lbs. Done.

No need to move struts.

Thanks Bill, I was worried I would be going through the strut mounting plate and the rubber bearing, but I am guessing I'm ok if I do Hard to tell what I'm gonna hit fom looking at it
