do i need machined guides for xp cam?

Seriously, port the Supercharger, it makes a big difference for the work put into it. Just search for 'how to port your supercharger'

Borla mufflers are awesome. I'd love some, but I like pissing off my asshole neighbors at 6am daily. XD

BTW, is the car a 2 or 4 door, and what color is it??

I was strongly considering a double roller but I researched that i'd need some more machine work for clearance, it's more expensive and supposedly the stock chain is fine until about 350hp. and im only going to be seeing a little over 300.

As for the ported s/c... I heard it was one of the better mods you can do I just haven't gotten to the stage to really consider it. I will more than likely do that also. Not to mention, I want it to WHHHHIIIINNNNEEEEE

It's a fully loaded 97 black coupe. The rims are black and have a chrome lip. They go well with the chrome taillights. I also hope to get some chrome grills to match. Gotta get the front bumper and spoiler painted though. Then she'll be a pretty little thing ;)

I lucked out with the gtp. I got it off a guy going into the army who had to sell it last second. Rims by themselves were worth it

Black looks great on Grand Prixs....no doubt about it....Kinda miss mine being black.

And will definitely hear more whine by porting it. Plus a decent drop in outlet temps, which is the best thing.

Mine screamed until it blew up. Ordering the parts at the end of the week, and should be cranking on it by the 1st.

Im two-toning it Tan and flat-black.

It really does look good...I need a new hood tho..mines beat up.

Heres a teaser...You can see the tan on the firewall, and the front brace...

Whole car is tan, except for my spoiler, hood, mirrors and door handles, they are all flat black...

The tan looks really light in that picture for some reason...it's a bit darker than that.

messing around in photo****it, and I couldnt really decide...

But in FL with the heat...would totally suck having a black roof...but I guess it's better than the whole car being black.

I'll get it done sometime in March, and post lots of pictures.
 
Should turn out sick. I say tan roof. Like you said, florida weather....
With the rims, I want to get my tail lights tinted to compliment them.
It's the route taken more often but I don't wanna stand outta the crowd TOO much. just isn't my thing
 


Short? Nah 6'1"...

Cars about a foot higher because I was removing the rear header, and didnt lower it yet, since I still needed to disconnect other things under the car (starter, engine mount, etc..)

Im probably going to cut my stockers like bio did, and paint them. Since they are already kinda messed up.
 
Honestly I thought people tinted them more than painted to get the look they want. Is it hard to do? Cause I've seen my share of horrible paint jobs on lenses that completely ruin the car.
 
Nah, you dont paint the lense..

Tinting is easier/faster.
When you paint, you paint the inside of the tail light, not the lens.
Bio has a write-up hidden somewhere.
 
Thanks for the reference. I read it and it cleared a lot of things up for me. I may consider painting now...

BUT FIRST, I think it's more important to get the big paper weight moving
 
Haha...yeah...mines gonna be a paperweight for longer....
Probably going to pick-up another GTP, to have as a DD, and turn mine into the project car.
