Do I need a gasket for a PLOG install?

Going to get a new PLOG (ZZP made stainless steel one) but didn't know if I needed a gasket. They show only 1 gasket option on their web site, and I didn't know if that was for the front PLOG or a rear PEM. I called them, but it went to an answering service. Thanks!

I personally did not use one on the front (I dunno why, I didnt remember until I removed it.).

But looking back, that probably wasnt the brightest idea.

Does anyone know if the gasket they show is for the front or for the rear, or are they the same gasket?

-NVM. I see that I get the front and rear for that price, not just a single gasket.

Thanks. I might as well pick one up then to ensure no leaks.

Should I pick up new bolts for the PLOG or are the stock ones pretty solid? I hear that the crossover ones break, so I might grab 2 of them...

Maybe I'll see how well I can loosen the crossover bolts before ordering anything. If they aren't too bad, then great, if they give me trouble or look really bad, I'll spend the $7 and get 2 news ones on order.

save yourself the troble and get new crossover and manifold bolts. Or be like me and crack an old rusted manifold bolt in your head :p

^ yup thats what I did on my header install. Make sure you have a long ratchet then when you start to have trouble hit the ratchet with your hand to kinda impact the bolt. You will break a lot less bolts that way.

Well, I went out with my ratchet, a 13mm socket, a long extension and a swivel attachment. I sprayed the crossover bolts with a short squirt of PB Blaster on each bolt, waited 5 minutes, and tried to loosen the bolts. It took all of about 5 seconds worth of effort per bolt to get them loosened up. It was actually quite easy. I am not sure of the ones on the engine will be as easy, but since they are supposed to be stronger, and they don't look any more rusted than the crossover bolts, I think I will be fine.

I wouldn't advise reusing the stock crossover bolts without applying anti-seize. I've seen reused bolts seize inside of 30 seconds. Yes I'm serious.
