Display Delay at Start Up

Just recently my wife's 2001 Special Addition started having a weird issue.

When the car is started, the 'system info' display and the auto headlights no longer come on immediately. There is a varying delay from about 2-10 minutes before the start working.

They appear to work correctly once they start, and they don't 'cut-out' while driving or anything.

Any ideas?
 


I'd look at the power schematic for them and see if there's a common relay in the path. It may be carboned and sticking.
 
Yes,

It turned out to be the ignition switch. Several of the contacts were oxidized due to arcing.. I replaced the cable assembly and all is good.
