Disable Park Cutout Switch??

I have a problem with the switch in my gear shift. Sometimes I turn off the car and try to restart. I have to mess with the gear shift just to get it to start. I would like to find the easiest way to disable the switch since it is malfunctioning and isn't really needed. Thanks guys.

Put it in nuetral if you are having trouble starting it in park. Problem solved.

The switch is located on the transmission. Check to see if it's aligned properly. For the info on how to align it.. look up a post by me about doing an external switch on an internal switch transmission.

I tried to start in neutral and it still didn't work. I will look up the alignment of the switch and go from there. More info would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is a dot that you can barely see that needs to be lined up with the line on the switch when the selector is in neutral. Otherwise..you'll also find in that link the wiring schematic that would tell you how to bypass it. Although I don't suggest doing that.
