Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

i hada misshap at work today, a gang box/job site box rolled into my car in the parking lot. not alot of damage that is noticeable from more than 5-10 feet away so im not gonna deal with it for now. i just need some touch up paint for the tiny scratches that went through the primer. soo i went to our local finishmaster store (paint shop) they took the vin number and the paint code out of the trunk under the carpet color macthed it to gm's color chart and the ****ing paint is almost pink, the label says dusk plum which is what came up from gm's end of the color match i guess. wtf? have you had any scratches uve tried to fix with a color match touch up? and if so was it good luck or bad luck, what did you use?? etc...im so pissed i even tried putting he stuff on the car it looks worse than before now, i thought it would get darker as it dried and no such luck

so i just wanna throw this out there since obviously it's directed at me and my "purple" car lol. any who i have two scratches i want to touch up. I've tried several brands of paint using that color code including from that website. And so far none of them match the paint. I have plans to go to a dealer and see what they can produce just for ****s and giggles. Give me a second and I'll see if i can get photobucket to load and if it does I'll show you the closest I've been able to get to the dark cherry metallic.

nope, no luck getting it to load. but i haven't been able to find any matching paint yet. I've bit*hed and moaned about it a lot back when i was trying to make some bumper plugs for where my front license plate used to be.

sure have. so far the closest i've been able to find was dupli-color from o'reilly auto. and it was still several shades to light. I posted about all that BS a long time ago in my ride thread.

Next best option is maybe going to the body shop or she Sherwin Williams and having them mix it right then and there

Automotivetouchup.com is always on point... Their stuff is the only thing I have found that matches.. so that's weird that it doesn't match up for your car

ive been trying to find a dark cherry metalic match and when i had the paint code from the trunk searched the only gm color was some purple from a 99-? gmc pick up

I had the same problem the first time except I ordered the damn paint n I got two cans of dusk plum from the "paint code " in the trunk 693. Not correct our code is 9800
