Direct injection nitrous and methanol

I've got a supercharged L67 grand prix, it's intercooled with an xp cam. I'm thinking about taking the intercooler of and the supercharger off and installing an N/A upper intake and then using the extra bungs for a direct inject nitrous and methanol setup.

Could you put a kit together that would do that?
 


the l67 block wont like not having boost. take the belt off then take a ride, thats how its gonna feel without the boost under normal driving.
 
Yeah but how would you mount the sc to a n/a lim? Turbo guys can do this for obvious reasons. You would have to have some kind of adapter for the blower to lim.

What at do you mean my car runs great without a supercharger belt or not.


But seriously, if you are going to go NA then methanol is going to be worthless as tits on a boar hog, nitrous though you could run a pretty good sized shot and it could run like a scalded ass ape. If you plan on adding a turbo then It's easy enough to adapt to the NA manifold.

the LIM is very similar to the 4.3L vortec engines of the late 90's and 00's I made one that adapted a Jag M112 to the Vortec lower but had to raise it about 2.250" to get what I felt was enough area to get to the ports. It was run in a rock crawler for about 6 months until my buddy decided to get an LS6 then thr engine was sold and parted out. I still have the stock lower and upper I made for that in storage, if he needs to see what I did, but it looks like he wants to run NA.

I would just take the supercharger of and go na. I had someplace that methanol and nitrous worked well together, but obviously the nitrous is going to make a lot more power. The direct injection is just an idea, it might be easier and cheaper to run separate methanol and nitrous systems and just inject it through a throttle body spacer, and then just block of the extra injector bungs.
 
get a n/a engine if your not gonna add boost. then you could run the l67 heads and the n/a lim for the extra set of injector holes.
 
Just pull the m90 and add a turbo kit, you can run the alky injection and a bit of N2O with that setup.
 
I was thinking if I took my supercharger off and the intercooler off and sold them then I would have money to fund a turbo install. how much do you guys think I could get for my supercharger and intercooler setup? its a W-Body store ported gen 3 case with a newer gen 3 rotor pack that has the gen 5 rotor coating. the LIM is ported, it was ported by Ed Labarge aka sseilmnop to match his phenolic intercooler, and I'm running a frozenboost heat exchanger. I have a friend trying to sell his turbo setup for 1500, and if I can get close to that much for the setup I can probably persuade my wife to let me do it. also have a northstar tb with the maf that I would sell.
 


whats the LSA on the XP cam? Pretty wide? I've been looking for that post for a while
now with the cam specs but can't seem to find it.

If you go NA you are going to want to have a cam with a little more overlap, so down in the 112-110 range for operating in NA mode most of the time. Closer to 110 for NA only but wider with Nitrous so 112.

Whoa, I didn't realize it had that much duration, but it's going to be a dog NA fer sure.

Without gearing and at least a convertor. It's going to have a pretty high range and you may want to shorten the intake runners internally because they are tuned for running lower in the rpm band.

FYI You can fit a blower on an NA lim. Did it. lol

EDIT: maybe it was an ssm90 LIM and a Gen V I did the more I think about it.... meh *shrugs *
