Different style thermostat?

Ok so I'm just finishing up doing the lim gaskets on the car (2000 Grand Prix GT). I had a 180 degree thermostat in the car before and was planning to switch to the 195 that I assumed came with the dorman uim kit, however I just looked at it and noticed its a 180 degree and also looks different. is it just the wrong thermostat or what?

The one i had in the car is on the right. New one is on the left.

both are normal. Just slightly different in how they were made.

Kinda like how tires are all round, but some are slightly different than others.
