DIC Swap Help

Hey, I need some help with my 2000 gt DIC swap. I pulled out the dash, definitely no extra plug in, unfortunately. So, I have printed off the connection sheet, do I actually cut the analogue DIC from it's original wires severing them completely?

Then, I would proceed to wrap and tape the LT Green wire with the A3 connection on the digital DIC, then cut, wrap and tape the Tan wire to the A7 connection pin, correct? ETC...

However, I want to make sure that since I have a 2000 model w/o HUD, I need not worry about the A4 ('97 only feature), B10('97 only feature), or B7 (Hud, engine metric switch) since none of these features are on my car, correct? Thus, I will have a few unconnected pins on the digital DIC when the job is done?

Also, I just would like to know where these HVAC wires are, are they actually connected to my climate control box, just above the ashtray, or are they the 4 wires I see plugged into that black box just behind where my air comes out of the dash, I think there was an orange, green, etc...

Please help! Any input is greatly appreciated!:confused:

Might want to soldier those wires instead of just taping them.


hopefully someone will chime in and help ya. I have always heard of the connector being there
 
yeah i hoping it would be but it doesnt look like im gonna be that lucky...what specifically does the digital DIC display again? i have never seen one up close
 
I'll have to see if i an take a pic for ya.



I know it displays oil life%,MPG,What doors are open or closed on the car including the trunk.Low wiper fluid and a cupple other things.
