DIC still not working...

Ok, I just bought a new and working DIC and it still does not work in my car...! I've checked all the fuses and they are all ok. I also know that the lights are working and fine on both units. What else could it be? I know I have power too. Where does the DIC get its info from and could that be bad? Any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated!
 


The DIC receives some of its information from the radio and other places also. Is your radio working right? You might want to check the wiring from the radio. Also does the DIC cord have any rips or anything on it? That could be causing the problem or the DIC cord could be bad?

Just some suggestions...
 
It works now... I have no idea what it was but it works and that's all that matters to me.

But now I have one light that is brighter than the other 3 behind the main display. I tried switching the lights around and it seems to move around. I tried different bulbs too so I know it's not a brighter bulb. Any clues?
 
Did you figure out what was wrong? I am having the same problem. I replaced all the bulbs with #24 bulbs, and now some are brighter than others and some don't even work. I think it is the bulb sitting in the socket itself. The old bulbs have a metal retainer that was soldered to the bulbs. I had to break this off the bulb, then press it back into the blue socket, then press the new bulb in. I am guessing the new bulb is not making good contact now with the metal retainer, but I have tried switching them around and everything I can think of and some still work and others don't. Any ideas???
