DIC Reset

Today on my 04, I decided to install a new deck.

So when taking the trim off, I disconnected the DIC to get it out the way. I hooked it all back up and got it together, and when I turned the car on, It still has the KM's, the trip, etc, but I had to reset the date. I put in the date, the year, the month.. and when done, the display would only show a bunch of dashes. - - - - - - - - - - SO I tried again, same thing.. when those dashes come on, i can change it to the kms, no probs.. just can'tget back to date..

Is there a way to properly reset it?
 


yeah, its just one of those things with our car and new deck.
it will take you a day or two to get over it LOl

I'm located in Belleville for abotu a month, and will be in Ottawa after that. Just packing now and getting ready to move. We do come down to London every summer to visit friends and family.

Yeah, the new deck has all that jazz, but I did like the DIC letting me know. I hate things not working, but like you said, i'll get over it.

I like nav.. I just bought a brand new Garmin 3 weeks ago, and now I have this.. Just sold the Garmin 5 mins ago.
 
i got a garmin from my old work for free, wife and I both have iPhones, I'm not without naV, so my deck doesn't have it lol
 


yeah, they had the module where I installed it, but they wanted $125 for it.. But i didn't realize the module also fixed that issue. I'll live with out it.
