DIC HVAC gone..

well i guess the cars pissed im trying to sell it, because now the HVAC and DIC are glitching..

Heres whats going on, yesterday after starting the car the AC and DIC hesitated for about 30 seconds before turning on, then again it was about 2 mins before it turned on.

Now today neither would turn on, so i unhooked my amp and sub setup thinking it was draining to much power.. Well the fuse is getting spikes around 4v to 7v and aslong as the HVAC is set too off the DIC will flicker a few times, then turn on and stay on. But any attempt to turn the HVAC on kills the DIC.

HVAC works on setting 5 and the compressor is coming on and blowing cold air. But still wont let DIC come on, and it hesitates about 10 to 15 seconds before HVAC works on setting 5.

haaaalp.. im lost on this one, is my BCM just dying off some more? the BCM is already faulty and won't let the interior lights work.
 


well if it was a ground issue wouldnt the DIC always flicker? once it like builds up enough power it stays on.
 
DIC' s SUCK! i have 2 gtp's and neither dic work :th_bangheadonwall: ...check the wire harness in the engine bay that runs around the a/c condenser to verify that its not chaffing and shorting out.
 


I've got a thread on DIC's not working, i haven't resolved my issue yet (cuz i'm lazy) but another guy fixed his dimming dic by doing an "ignition saver mod"....fwiw, i hacked my ignition harness apart for that fix and it didn't work for me.

Where the op's problem is both dic and hvac, it shouldn't be too hard to find the issue should it be shorting out or grounding poorly
 
k just noticed this, in park with the blower motor set too off, the light of the AC compressor is on. its not resposive to turning it off with the button, i have to set the AC controls to the notch above MAX.

If i try and turn the blower motor on, the AC Light turns off and the headlights dim very bad, but if i put the car in drive they light up all the way..

what... the... ****
 
I wasn't aware that the BCM had any control over the HVAC system. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
