DHP Tuner problems!

I just got my dhp tuner from a friend and I got pretty much everthing installed on the laptop to get started but when I plug the tuner into the usb it says I need to install driver so I click yes to install but says after awhile that I need the disc that came with the tuner. I went onto Keyspan to download the driver and it tells me it downloaded sucessfully but when I go to plug in the tuner the same thing keeps popping that I need to install driver. Is there anything I can do or anywhere that I can purchase the disc? I am using Windows Vista which I heard doesn't always work best with this Dhp tuners. Anyone could help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

It sounds to me that you are needing is the driver for the DHP tuner itself. I'll bet you can find it on the DHP forum, or maybe someone here may be able to send it to you.

I hope some can send me it or help me find it because I am getting pretty frustrated with it.

Personally, I won't even try and use vista/7 or a usb adapter.. too flakey and frustrating...

lol, i use an old TOUGHBOOK with a serial cable and windows XP

edit: you should be asking this on the http://powrtuner.com/ website

there isnt a specific driver to install for the tuner except for the DHP software. you do need the correct version of net.framework and something else.... it is on the DHP website. if you dont have access to it you need to get the log in off of the person who sold you the tuner or find a link where there are a few people updating users permissions. there are instructions on there to go thru the steps needed to load the proper windows drivers before installing the DHP software.

did you try leaving it plugged in and restarting the laptop? sometimes it has to be plugged in in a weird order to work. are you sure you installed the right driver?
