Dexron VI or Dexron III?

Im looking to do a trans pan drop and filter change but dont know whether to fill back up with dex VI or dex III. Ive seen pretty mixed opinions on what to do. Im leaning towards dex VI since its easier to find but I dont think the transmission has been rebuilt or replaced but the motor has 195k on it.
