Demon Eye wiring????

Hello All,

Recently purchased retrofits from Classy Pontiac. Very beautiful work (I haven't installed yet). I'm sure it's a simple answer that's right under my nose. I had demon eyes installed when Classy made the lights. I need to wire a switch up to them tho. Anyone got a how to or know what should be used? I'm sure a resistor may need to be wired but don't want to screw anything up.

Thanks

Ya your prob gona need a resistor to handle the voltage differance for the Led's... then just install a switch where ever you like

Yeah, just waiting to hear back from Classy. Not sure if a resistor is already wired in or what the rated voltage for the LED's is.

Still haven't heard anything. Which sucks as I'm looking to install the retrofits but can't till I know proper wiring for the demon eyes.

Cant you just tap them to a switched source?
I mean im no doctor but id run wire through firewall and led toggle switch

I don't see any reason you'd need to wire a resistor in, unless you're tapping them into the turn signal positive to have them flash when your turn signal is on.

Though hopefully Classy will chime in and confirm.

I'm thinking one isn't needed either. Just hate to be wrong tho. And nope it won't be tapping into any turn signals. Flashing red would likely get unwanted attention from the police.

If your car is the +04 style, there are 2 wires going to your turn-signal lights. One is your constant DRLs and the other is your turn signal. You can use a test light to find which wire is which. When I had the HORRIBLE Spyder headlights I wired the halos and LEDs into the DRL wire. But as far as your resistor I am not totally sure. My Spyder lights didn't need a resistor. I think the resistor you need is a 560 ohm if you are going from direct 12V.

I heard back from Classy Pontiac. I won't need a resistor, just a 12v switch and good to go. I'm using an 05 GXP. The nice thing is my DRL's are in the bumper. My Halo's are wired to the Parking lights and the Demon eye will be wired to the switch
