New toy. Should work to pull off harmonic balancer

Re: Her names Delilah......wobble wobble, leaky leaky, squeaky squeaky, bit*hy bit*hy

you can use that type on the V8?

i would think the other style puller is still what you'd want use. unless the balancer has holes in it for the hooks of that puller.

Did u see the link I posted. That's what gm says to use

Re: Her names Delilah......wobble wobble, leaky leaky, squeaky squeaky, bit*hy bit*hy

yes i saw it, i dont have a clue what your balancer looks like. just showing you the other style puller.

yours must have slots for the hooks or something. i would not be grabbing it from the outer edge, thats for sure.

Re: Her names Delilah......wobble wobble, leaky leaky, squeaky squeaky, bit*hy bit*hy

Yea it has three small slots that the claw should go into

Re: Her names Delilah......wobble wobble, leaky leaky, squeaky squeaky, bit*hy bit*hy

Easy....I dunno. Gotta drop cradle some. Then getting the bolt off is gonna be a *****

Re: Her names Delilah......wobble wobble, leaky leaky, squeaky squeaky, bit*hy bit*hy

go red neck style on it.

dont you live on base with a garage? and like air tools? and a lift? air gun is the easy way.

Re: Her names Delilah......wobble wobble, leaky leaky, squeaky squeaky, bit*hy bit*hy

The garage on base is closed because our government is incompetent

Re: Her names Delilah......wobble wobble, leaky leaky, squeaky squeaky, bit*hy bit*hy

+1 for the redneck trick. Let the starter crack the bolt loose.

Re: Her names Delilah......wobble wobble, leaky leaky, squeaky squeaky, bit*hy bit*hy

But I have all the necessary tools now except for a way to lower the motor. I think if I just loosen the sub frame bolts until its low enough I'll be fine. I only need like an inch or two and I could possibly break the bolt loose first

Re: Her names Delilah......wobble wobble, leaky leaky, squeaky squeaky, bit*hy bit*hy

put a jack under the sub frame on the pass side, then back the sub frame bolts out a inch or so, then lower the jack, keep the weight on the jack, dont let sub frame hang on the bolts.

Re: Her names Delilah......wobble wobble, leaky leaky, squeaky squeaky, bit*hy bit*hy

Do I need to have the wheels off the ground to do that?

Re: Her names Delilah......wobble wobble, leaky leaky, squeaky squeaky, bit*hy bit*hy

oh yeah. jack stand at the pinch welds is the only way really.

and take the dog bones off so the engine dont bind up when dropping it a bit.

Re: Her names Delilah......wobble wobble, leaky leaky, squeaky squeaky, bit*hy bit*hy

Cool. Anything else I need to do to drop the frame two inches
