Deer Comitted Suicide, Chose my Car. (updated fixed pics, new hood)

Late Saturday Night I was driving on the highway and just got to the other side of a bridge and a deer ran out in front of me. I think I ripped its head off. You can see in the pictures it messed the car up pretty good. It's head hit the hood where you see the dent and the fender acted as a dagger and ripped it apart, the rest of the body hit the side of the fender and the hooves hit the door. You can see the blood on the car, I was going 71mph. It was a pretty bloody scene on the highway.

I've hit a few deer before, but with an old F-150 pickup that had a steel bumper. Never thought it'd do this much damage. I opened the hood and saw that the diagonal brace above the airbox is bent, so damage is more extensive...

NO!!! aw man, you too?!! damnit, im sorry to hear that man, i effin HATE deer. im assuming the vehicle is totalled?Glad/Hope you're okay, my car was totalled not even a week and a half ago by a deer, bloody scene as well. What is the deal with these bastards, do they just explode when they get hit??wtf??!!

The car is not totalled... I'm driving the SHO while we put an F1 hood on and shave the doors and trunk lock...

Estimate was over $4,000 but I wasn't there to make sure that they saw that it also bent the diagonal brace so if that moved, I want all new body parts for that... $500 deductable is going to get it done right.
 
ah, so not only is it not totalled but it's getting pimped out as well? nice! glad you and your GP are okay, though! looks bad but definitely fixable. isnt insurance great when you need it? you got full coverage?
 
Full Coverage. It still doesn't make me happy. I was focusing on performance mods for this summer and then this happens and then I find a sweet deal on a F1 hood and then why not shave it... yep I'm going to be working long weekends on the farm to cover my tuition and books this fall...
 


The last I saw of the deer was when I seen its head hit my hood and then it spiraling over my front windshield, apart from the rest of its body... I figured I wasn't going to eat it or I'd see that image go through my head every time I took a bite... lol

Should be picking up the hood tommorrow, hopefully its not damaged with these tornadoes all around us, hell, my luck it will end up in my yard through the tornado air mail.
 


i got clobbered by a deer in my GP, i was on the way to work and it ran out, tagged my right front headlight and went sailing through the air....
it bites. i hate picking deer fur out of my car....
 
I acually got hit by a deer instead of me hitting it. It was standing on the side of the road and as I came up, the deer ran into the woods. Then as I passed, the darn thing ran back out and into my door. Luckily there was no damage, don't know how.
