They certainly are not cheap, they can run anywhere from $75 to $100 bucks depending on where you get it from. You can find the part number and check eBay or other online places for it and save a few bucks that way. But usually if get from a local place, you can a lot of times talk them into installing it for a few bucks more.

thx for the suggestion!! so i was getting impatient and wanted to get the front door panels off to change the speakers in the door, so after an hour or so i couldnt find the bolts but knew there was and didnt want to screw anything up so i called my buddy who is a mechanic and he confirmed my thoughts before they are behing the chrome panel on the handle and arent so easy to get off but he got it off and then the bolts shortly after then the whole panel comes loose and u can get to the huge buckel clip harness, actually it is very simple but a pain in the aS*!! so the speakers in the door i believe are a paper 6,1/2" 2 ohm speakers along with a cheap 1" tweeter!!! so now i have to make mounting brackets for my JBL GTO series speakers and tweeters which i will have to drill new holes in the door for them, should be fun!! BTW its a 2006 GP GT with the monsoon stereo system!!

I duno if they'res any new harness's out now but at the time, mine costed $120 bucks from local audio shop. Very expensive piece of equiptment and completely un-neccesary stuff for that price. If i'm not mistaken, Ice Blue La Crosses link is the same one I have installed in my 06 GT. I must say, the adaptors didn't fit and had to cut them off and wire them manually. I hope you know what your doing with this :) It can be a pain.

and its a 6.5" door speaker with 1" dome tweeter in the door, personally I think its fairly easy to get the panals off.

The only issue I had was when the audio shop sold me the harness, the plastic box had been taped up. like it had been broken apart. I couldnt get my deck to play. I manually put the speaker wires into the channels on the back of the HU, and they played. So my issue had to be within the lil black box. Next day I took it back and showed the manager what crap they sold me. Immediately replaced with a brand new one.

^^^ Thats what happens when you don't check your stuff before u leave the store. They sold me something used ( and broken ) while obviously knowing what they were doing! at $120 bucks, I woulda left there with atleast a few subs in the showroom punchered :th_angry2:

ya thx for the info!! and i got a METRA GMOS-04 and it cost me $225 from the audio store!! it aint cheap!! but it looks cheap like wtf lol!! and as for the door speakers they are installed!! it took a good oh 15-16hrs to make the adaptor plates for my speakers as i broke the first 1 i was making.. so i made the adaptors all by myself in my garage out of 1/4" plexi glass i shouldve taken more pix but didnt check em out!! http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3133472/3

That sucks..i been wanting to put my KVT-512 in for tha longest & it would suck to go thru all that...

ya but if u are like me u love ur car and will do whatever it takes to get it the way you want it!! BUT i think deck install will be the most callenging!! but i got the whole schematics for the stereo front to back thx to my buddies auto shop!! so i hope it isnt to much of pain in the a$$ !! and ive alwayz done my own stereo work but nothing as complicated as this will be!! BTW my deck is an eXcelon KDC-X791 simple but the tuning in it is just totally different to other receivers!! it tunes the speakers in Hz frequency and it really brings out the tru sound in the speakers, also it has 4V preouts and an i-pod cable and an aux input so it has it ups!!
