Just replaced my old trans with another old trans. Came out of a regal with the 3.05 gearing. Has not been tuned yet but.I am experiencing slipping in 1st off the line and in reverse. It gets worse as the engine warms up. Also when I put it in manual 1st, it.pulls like a champ. Any ideas with what this could be. Searched everywhere but found nothing.

Fluids full right where it is supposed to be. First start up was yesterday with.New.trans driven it.probably 50 miles or so.

Might end up swapping the pressure control solenoid from the old trans.

So I have decided to do a partial rebuild of the first trans, After doing a miniature teardown I am pretty sure the clutch packs are good. The front pump shaft broke off inside the torque converter, I guess I still don't know why.Im assuming the pump locked up somehow, But there was no metal or anything that looked out of place on the pump side. I am going to swap over the valve body from the old one as well as replace the pressure control solenoid which i just ordered from triple edge.
