I started to debadge my GP on the trunk lid. Is is supposed to take 20-30 minutes?? I am using fishing line to cut off the badge and using adheseive remover to remove the glue. Is there somthiing else i am missing or am i good?

Use a hair dryer.. A heat gun can get hot enough to harm the paint...
I used a hair dryer and some fishing line... Went pretty quick.. Then after it came off I used rubbing alcohol and got all the adhesive off. Then I waxed the BAjesus outta it.

I'll tell you the easiest way. It took me 5 minutes per badge. All you need, is a hair drier, floss and polishing compound. Heat the thing up for a minute or two, take floss, cut the glue, take polish while glue is still warm and micro fiber towel, BAM. All gone and all done. Easy peasy. Results speak for themselves.

spray wd40 on the adhesive and let set for like 30 sec then it will wipe right off. I have done it a bunch, and works everytime on any decal or sticker. Just make sure when your done rinse it wit soapy water to get off the wd40

I'm going to go do this right now, but I don't know if fishing line would work on the dealership sticker..what would you guys recommend for that?

Heat up the badge and just pull on it gently. You can use something that is plastic and soft enough so that it doesn't scratch your paint. GooGone works great for the left over adhesive.

Any ideas on how to get the decails from the back where it says Pontiac off? The person I bought it from liked yellow and I want to make it black reflecting ehite
