Dear Snow: Go Bleep Yourself!!

Attempted to go to work this morning, we got about 9.5" of snow last night (which really isn't too bad for us in MI), but the 40 MPH wind led to some random snow drifts which the GP didn't like very well......Made it 300 feet down the road, only to clobber a wall of snow.....After an hour and a half of shoveling the road, and taking it as easy as I could on the GP, i managed to back up about 20 feet but buried my RF in a mini ditch....

Nothing more frustrating then having 3 wheels on the road and not being able to move....:th_depressed:

Luckily an old buddy from high school came out and towed me about 1/4 mile down the road.....Glad my baby is out and I threw him $20 for his troubles....I'm once again happy, but ready to move out of Michigan again...

We got over a foot in Flint and I had to drive to auburn Hills... I managed just fine (other then scraping snow a few times). It was the other idiots I was worried about I passed 5 or 6 accidents on my way in

Once my buddy got me out and i headed into town the roads were fine. I live about 25-30 miles SW of Saginaw, in the middle of nowhere on probably THE worst crowned road I have ever seen.....And I drive ALOT. That's really what prevented me from getting out, every time I made progress the crown of the road just pushed me more and more towards the mini-ditch where i finally buried the RF..

Gotta love holding the wheel straight in reverse and only going right....lol

@gtpinsc: You musta missed the last few rounds in the Carolina's??? I use to live in Mooresville, NC (bout 20 miles N of Charlotte) and everyone I've talked to says they've been slammed really good the last 2 winters.....

why would you even try and drive down the street in 9" of snow? if my snow blower has a hard time going through it i stay my goofy ass at home.

That would be a joyess occasion. However, I called my boss at 6:30 and when he said work was open I wsa on the roads

the past 2 years... snowed once last year with about 2 inches that stuck around for a day.. then in jan. this year it snowed about 4 inches and shut the state down for 3-5 days depending on the area.

No work = No money. I already used up my quota of sick days (which are still unpaid) in the last storm that dumped about a foot and a half....lol

Living in the sticks sucks w/o 4x4

I went to work one time and my boss didn't come in until lunch time. He took a lunch when he got there, stayed for two hours and then went home.

Then another time, I got to work and was the only person in my department.

Well, after the snow packed in it turned my ABS and Traction Off lights on......Went through the car wash and made sure all the snow was blasted out......Atleast on the way home tonight the lights were still on....

I'm guessing the wires to the sensor came apart when I hit the drift or while being pulled out....
