wife and I went to the animal shelter today. looked at a pit bull named Sally. I never knew they were so loving.

From what I've seen, pits are almost as docile as labs these days. All I ever had was a cat that lived to be old enough to vote. A horse would be good, actually provides transportation while you text drunk lol. Its watching the road and knows where home is.

Some states you can get a dui while on a horse.
 
I wondered that. A gal rode by the shop texting on a horse one day (equestrian farm nearby) and I was like... hey shes not watching where shes going lol. The horse was. No worries! I just threw the drunk in for effect. If theres states its legal in, I'd bet this is one.
