Date on Dash not saving

Im not sure if this has to do something with it but I change my radio with an after market Double din and I use the GMOS-01 harness to retain the door chime. During the install I pulled the negative feed from the battery, what im noticing now is when I set the date on the Driver Information Center (Dash Screen) it is not saving it. It will reset itself after 20 seconds. Any thought what may be the issue? Vehicle is a 2008 Grand Prix

The date function of the DIC runs through the OEM head unit. I believe it uses its clock to know when to change the date.

You'll need to use a different default screen. I use the average fuel economy screen.
