Ok I posted here while back and I couldn't get a answer or find my post,my Grand Prixs dash has a bad place on it,I want to swap pads out but idk were to start, any help???

Im in the same place. Where do you get a replacement pad in the first place? I would bet you'd have to start by pulling the instrument panel cover off, then remove every bolt you can find anywhere on the front end of the cab?!?

I think it comes out in pieces, scottydogs took one out I think but I couldn't get a answer from him,I'll be getting a donor car and if it has a good one in it ill take it out of it

It comes out as one piece. I did this not too long ago for my neighbor kid. Pull the cluster, trim panel, a pillars then unbolt what you find. Wiggle and you'll find the bolts you are missing.

bill posted a pic of the dash out, the steering column needed to be un bolted and lowered out of the way, and lots of wires need to be unhooked from what i saw in the pic.

i think it was in the "what did you do to your car today" thread. no write up involved, just the pic and look what i did type thing lol

Ok thanks, that's one main thing I want done in my gp,besides a 3 inch whole in my carpet,my mat almost covers it up though

What's he mean by a pillars and it dosent seem like itd be Necessary to drop the column, he was just trying to find the burnt wire, plus I'm wanting to get a pad with a hud already cut out stock plus mines cracked and faded, so basically start but removing trim then speedo and glove compartment, then a few screws here and there then wiggle and does it have any clips?
