The passenger air bag cover on the dash of my 99 GT is sun damaged and like torn open from the way it looks. I was going to take it to an upholstery shop..what would you guys do? Has anyone had this problem?

idk what to do about my dash. it is sun bleached in spots. and the passenger air bag cover is split. idk if it would be cheaper to get a dash my color or to have my [vinyl?] reupholstered on the dash? i really dont want to tear the dash out.
any suggestions? lookin for the cheapest, yet nicest way out. if there is any kind of vinyl conditioner or spray of some kind i can put on it or something (aside from getting the air bag cover fixed)?

As of now, with it being cleaned up, it doesn't look as bad as I originally thought. But I would like to get this fixed eventually. Any ideas or past experiences??
