dash lights abs and airbag lights flicker

I was wondeirng if anyone else ever had this problem. Every once in a while my dash illumination lights will flicker along with the information center and then the ABS and Airbag lights will blink for a few seconds. I've also noticed if it's at night my headlights will go dim for a moment or two at the same time. It's almost like theres some crazy load for a moment or the alternator stops charging for a moment, but why would my dash lights flicker off and on?
Has anyone ever had this issue?
