Dash cover?

honestly my dash looked like crap when i bought it. it looked so sun dried and discolored.
i went and bought some Meguiars Natural Shine Protectant. It's like a creamy spray but it restored the color and it blocks UV rays. Might wanna invest in that and just keep it sprayed and wiped. now my car looks fine with the exception of the cracks. haha

i heard they move around during regular driving. there was one guy in my town who super glued his down lol.

Get Toe FTW lol

is it just faded? cause if so you could use some vinyl/fabric paint and just paint it

I don't really feel like pulling my whole dash out to paint it, it's cover or nothing.

I'll have to check that stuff out, all I'm using now is Meguiar's interior cleaner on it. Does this stuff dry out the dash like Armorall? I used that stuff on my old Camaro and the dash went from perfect to spiderwebbed over night.

I had one on the Camaro, Velcro works real well with it.

What's get toe?

no. the stuff i use is like a moisturizer. it says on it that it restores and protects against fading and cracking etc. it's good stuff. it's not greasy either.

and i think get toe=ghetto!

Mine's separating in the same spot. It was like that when I got the car and hasn't really gotten any worse.

Mine sits in the sun and was NOT like that when I got my car two years ago. So...
Also I have a small crack up close to the windshield, and the passenger airbag looks a bit more "raised" than it should.

Mine has been nothing but in the sun for the past couple of years. I'm staying away from amorall products now.

Mine is lifted, so for me I either have to deal with it or replace it.
If you zoom in on these images and look near the steering wheel where the dash bezel meets the top part, that's what I mean. It's not the bezel, it's the vinyl that's worn and warped.

Mine is the EXACT same way except my passenger air bag cover is warped too. And cracked.
Here's what my passenger side looks like. It looks better now since I used that Meguiars stuff it's not so dried out. But still warped/cracked.

I got this stuff and threw it down and holy sh1t what a difference. The dash looks new and the stuff is still shiny after a week now. It's like a cream/wax for your dash, spray some down and spread it around.

where the heck do you guys live that thhe sun bakes your dash like that i have used armor all in all my cars and never had that prob. im in the Northeast NYC/ Erie pa so maybe humidity is preventing me from getting that

haha well i live in memphis, tn in the south. but i've seen the house where my car lived at before i had it and it set outside all the time. and idk where that lady worked but i'm assuming outside cus my dash/leather is sunbaked like a muther. slowly but surely restoring it.

have you guys heard anything about a product called Leatherique??

My car sits in the sun almost all day, only except when I park in a garage for class.

I used armorall on my 89 Camaro's dash which was in perfect shape, not a single spot of any kind of fading or cracking. I used to use armorall until the first cold snap came through and the dash pretty much shattered. I later found out that amorall dries out the dash material and will lead to it cracking. So no more of their products from me. Just my personal experience.
