So I headed out to the junkyard for 2 things yesterday.

1, 19mm socket lugnut to replace the 22mm I have on one lug.

2, A transmission dipstick tube.

Well I came out with 2 items, the lugnut and a PCM I totally forgot to get the dipstick tube!

I'm old enough to know if I have more than 1 item I need to get I have to make a list.

Happens to me every time. I have a list of things I need to get.. Usually end up not getting everything and forgetting something then once I'm back home I remember what I really needed and usually end up with something I wasn't looking for. I make a memo in my phone now for this reason

I haz terrible memory.

I'll be sitting at the house and be like, ok I need milk, butter, cereal, and something for dinner.

I'll go to the store and look for something for dinner and think to myself, "OK, I know I needed some other stuff"

Mind you, the store is only 5 minutes away, but I get distracted and my mind goes elsewhere.
 
Lol, Squirrel! I'm here now and wondering what's options are for an 05 L32 dipstick tube. Found one bent another rusted out and I only have 2 other cars that had L32's
 
So after I posted in this thread I forgot more things.

I was going to town to get some more detailing supplies, get a haircut, and get a mole trap (damn things are tearing my yard up)

Since I was going to Advance I was going to take in a jug of oil for recycling. Also needed to stop at the store to get baking powder, brown sugar, and flour since I am making some cookies for picnic tomorrow.

I forgot the oil for recycling.
I forgot to stop to get the mole trap.
I forgot the baking powder.

Damn, I am only 34. I hate to see what my memory will be like when I hit 60.
 


Well I did get my dipstick tube. But I only had one item on my list. Today was half price day so I was going to pull a set of L32 heads to work over and ALL of the L32's were gone. Even the rusted out shortblock. I couldn't believe how many subframes I saw today. They should be bringing in new cars soon, I want to pull another gen V to play with. Steelthee wait until your in your 40's.

Yeah. When I was working at my old job production guys would come to me and say Hey we are going to need knives, or gloves, or mold release or something along those lines. After I forgot a few times I put a white board by my desk. If they came up to me to tell me they needed something I pointed at the white board and said "Write it down. If its written down I will not forget."
 
Ill write a list out then forget it on the kitchen table or.......set reminder tasks in my phone then when they go off I snooze them a few times, then I get annoyed that my phone keeps going off and dismiss the reminders tasks and forget. Im amazed I get anything done at all and my wife has not left me.
 


That only helps if you remember to put it in your phone. ADD remember? I've tried and tried and sometimes I do and other times I don't.
