Cylinder #5 misfire

Really stumped on this one. I've checked the plug & it checked out fine. As does all the wiring. What could be causing this?

I checked for fluid & corrosion on the plug as well as cracks. The spark plug was clean & undamaged. As was the plug wire.

I'm saying I've had plugs and wires that looked fine but are bad...swap the coil and injector and see if the missfire follows...

move one part at a time to know which one is failing, I'd try the injector last. Also if your using your aeroforce as the scanner, check with an actual scanner as I have had one lie, saying cyl 1 missfire only to find out it was #2 cyl. Try plug, wire, coil etc. and see if the miss follows the part you've swapped out.

New plug and plug wire. Still misfiring. That leaves, coil, injector, PCM, or something else. I'm tired of this car.

On a brighter note. the guy who scanned my car said this is putting too much load on the engine and that the tranny wouldn't last much longer.

I did get a crazy unusual improvement in mpg after putting a new plug and wire on cylinder #5. Went from 18.5 to 25.3

Trans temp shouldn't matter even if it's misfiring. Try moving the injector next? DOD messed up maybe?

Idk, maybe. I'm calling the dealership in the morning. GXP's under warranty so they can fix it. Cuz I've had enough of this cars shenanigans.
