I have a 1999 grandprix gtp 3800 supercharged, it recently developed a REALLY bad miss and i can hardly get it outta my driveway. the check engine lite can on so i had it put on a computer that checks the codes (not sure what codes came up) but it said that theres a misfire on cylinder #3. does anyone have any ideas to what it would be? any suggestions would be appreciated! and just to let all of u know that has a 3800 w/ a supercharger, there is oil in them and it is to b changed from time to time. i didnt know anything about this until i was lookin on the net and if u google it u will find how to change it and where to find the place to change it!

just took my car to the garage so we will c what the verdict is. Keith it didnt look like ther was any thing on the wire but i didnt pull it off to look throughly.

Some possible troublemakers are: fuel injector, coil, plug, plug wire, ICM, and PCM. I guess a bad LIM could also be a cause, but probably not. I recently had some misfire issues myself and a new ICM and PCM fixed it.

I don't think that the supercharger lacking an oil change would cause a single cylinder misfire.

I was talking about pulling the plug wire from the #3 coil located below. I had a some misfires on #5 and the post on the coil had some corrosion. I cleaned it off and that was that.
