What are you saying gaff?....and I didn't really check for up and down play but there's a small amount of in ad out play....and on the drivers side there's a little bit of grease on the surrounding parts but the boots not torn....I'm gonna go ahead and order new axles and bearings...because when the shaking problem arises I can feel it with the frequency of the wheel turning...so I'm thinkin its gottta be soemthing that rotates and there's not a whole lot of parts that turn with the wheel

you could have a bent rim, or a bad tire, try rotating the tires to see if it goes away.

I should have mentioned I just had the tires rotated and the balance checked on them and the guy told me his machine would be able to tell if I had a bent rim

The brakes seem on good shape....and it does it whether im on the brakes our not...although it does get worse when I push them

I had to replace the passenger side half shaft on an '04 last weekend - grease was visible on parts surrounding the half shaft boot area, but the boot had no visible tear... Slapped a new one on in two hours for $58 and its good as new!

My 01 was shaking intermittenly until one day the speedometer began acting erratic, wheel bearing went out, maybe that is the problem you have.

well i had my flex plate replaced, and since the driver cv shaft had to be pulled out and tranny lowered, we got it back together and i had the shakes really bad. replaced driver cv shaft and some needle bearing inside the tranny that was fvcked and it fixed half the problem. replaced passenger cv shaft and it was golden.

so it is possible that your cv axles could be the problem, as mine didn't really have that much of a reason to even go out. maintenance my friend.
