thats my concern. our fuel pressure is between 48-55 psi according to ALLDATA

Because the lines are slightly smaller between the bottom of the car and there. Makes everything flow better.

no, my lines are the same size all the way through, i have them out.
i had a few other questions as well. what parts did you use for the lines that connect to the fuel rail itself, did you list those in your parts needed? also why do you need the 90 degree fitting? and why 3 XRP -6 AN straight female hose ends? why not 4?

I was looking on McMaster-Carr, they have yor-lok tube fitting that will be good for over 1000 psi. They have brass, steel or stainless steel. I don't know wich one would be the best though, they say that brass will work with brass tubing, steel with steel... In what material are made our lines?

well i have all thats needed for my setup that im running, however i made one error and that was buying one 3/8 and one 5/16 fuel rail fitting. the 5/16 on the return side doesnt fit. i thought they were different sizes , i should have went with my gut when i first placed my order for two 3/8's fittings.... oh well, it does look clean though compared to the black plastic sh!t lines ( excuse my verbage but they are crap and the reason why our cars and others burn up, not the front valve cover gasket like GM recalled ) so tomorrow begins my venture into the project, i will be taking pictures
edit - the 5/16th fitting does fit, just take the clip off first and install on fuel rail and the attach the fitting

so the project is about complete, im waiting on one more fitting but everything is all routed and one side is done, the return line is almost done.
i chose to keep my setup fairly stock looking, utilizing all but one of those gray line connectors due to it being in the way of me feeding my lines upward. i cut off the plastic portions of the fuel lines only and went from there. this keeps it factory looking. i already tested the pressure line for leaking and it was perfect on that end.
i cant stress enough that when you add these fittings USE small amounts of oil to coat the threads on the aluminum, also do not use teflon tape. tighten down the fittings until they are tight dont overdue it, just until they feel snugged ( using wrenches and not your hands of course )
this isnt a hard mod to do, the lines themselves if you do it my way can be a bit tricky to maneuver so expect a lot of cussing, but in the end its very worth it for looks and safety issues concerning the factory lines. here are some pics of the procedure.
