Cruise disabling at 60mph

Tracking down this problem. No codes. No adverse driving problems. Set cruise it works up until 60mph where it will set and shut off from a second to a few seconds later

Our TAC module is built inside the throttle body and it has a dedicated VSS wire from pcm to the throttle body. Tech 2 cruise history shut down shows "Wheel speed to high" after speaking with diagnostic Hotline that's because the TAC module sees a speed that's to high for cruise to set (not a wheel bearing issue like I originally thought, which all work perfect anyways)

With the tech2 unfortunately I cannot see the mph it's just not an option. I'm about to try a different throttle body to make sure it's not an issue internally.

Diagnostic Hotline also mentioned 2 cases of where the tune was a direct effect of an aftermarket tune. I'm pretty sure I had this issue before I started tuning with hptuners..

Anyone have any thoughts?

I was just curious if anyone else has experienced it. I'm about to slap on my extra tb and see if it cures it

My cruise control wouldn't work at all until I took it to the dealership. I dont remember what they checked but they said it was out of adjustment, which, was an easy and cheap fix.

My 05 GT cruise control randomly shuts off and will not also stay engaged occasionally . Any ideas where to start looking?

Hmmm... how much brake pedal travel disengages cruise control on this car? Maybe there is something too sensitive there.

I had the same issue, and it was because of my tune. It was because my cruise afr was set to rich and i noticed what would happen was when my wideband would read like 11-12 afr my cruise would shutoff. I ended up setting my maf hz table to stock till about 7k+ and it fixed it.

Huh, were you running full-time open loop? You'd think the PCM would adjust fuel trims to compensate, unless it was pegged full lean and still not getting there.
