I have been having a problem with my cruise control as of late on my 98 gtp. It used to work just fine and then one day it just shut off when using it driving home. Since then I can sometimes get it to work and when I do it works for maybe 3-5 minutes then will shut off and not work again or I can wait 30 minutes and it will work again for another 3-5 minutes.
I did a search and found the third brake light theory, which checks good, the cable and such under the hood, which is currently attached and everything is hooked up no problems and of course checked the fuse for possible problems and everything is good. I also tried putting it in neutral while driving to see if the speedo drops to 0 and it does not so that checks out as well. Not sure where to go from here on things to check so hoping someone may have some insight or had a problem similar to this.
