Cruise control question

What possible issues would cause the cruise control not to work? wipers, winshield washer fluid, blinkers, and brights all work off of that arm, but the cruise wont hold or accelerate. Thanks again, these forums are helping me out a lot.
 


one of the bulbs was burndt out, but that didnt fix the cruise. what should I look for to see of the cruise is hooked up by the throttle body?

both cables are connected, one for the throttle and the other I presume is for the cruise, any other thoughts? I really appreciate the help/ideas
 


check fuses. if good disconnect the single brake light switch on your brake pedal, (there is a double plug switch and a single plug switch) jumper the connector and and test drive. if the cruise works then u need a new switch, if it doesnt then u have another problem... (this is what was wrong with my cruise)

where exactly would the brake light switch be located, up behind the pedal, and what do they look like, fuses were good
