Cruise control and AC won't work

Hi I'm a noob here. I was driving my '04 grand prix gt the other day and a heard a small pop noise. I noticed that the cruise control doesn't work anymore. Also the AC seems to turn on and off while I'm driving. I checked the fuse for the cruise and its fine. I don't know if there is a short somewhere, but i need help. Thanks.
 


My cruise control quit working and I checked the Haynes book and it said to check th brake lights. When I did this I found my 3rd brake light was not working. I installed 2 new bulbs in the 3rd brake light and the cruise control works again.

I found the solution. I went through the fuse panel and tested all the fuses. The display fuse seemed to not work rite, even though it looked good and the inside was connected and not black. I replaced this fuse and it all seemed to work again. thanks for the suggestions.
