Creak and a jerk.

Ok so I had no clue what to search for so I'll lay out the details here and if any of you can point me in the right direction or provide insight, please do.
Car is a 2003 GTP 110k miles.

So first off when I shift out of park I tend to get a nice jerk. Not always. And Idk if this is normal, but the car tends to roll almost a foot sometimes after it's put in park. Parking brake is a no go by the way. Push it and I get nothing, perhaps a snapped line.
The jerk could be bad motor mounts? But they don't look cracked and the engine doesn't seem to move too much.

The second weird thing is that, and this happens without fail, after putting the car into gear (reverse or drive) and moving, I'll hear a rather audible creak/groan sound about 2 seconds after I begin accelerating. Seems to happen if the car sits for more than a minute in park.

Note: Direction of the wheel seems to not matter. And the solenoid for the key gets stuck a lot when put into park.

Thanks for looking.

The "jerk" you feel when you take the car out of park is what happens when extra load is put on the parking pawl located inside the transmission, which happens when the car is put into park on an incline, therefore the park brake is to be applied to take the wieght of the car off the park pawl. I suggest you get the park brake fixed.

The groan you hear after starting the car and start to move is an ABS system check the computer performs, perfectly normal.

pop your hood, then shift from d to r, watch the engine, it it jumps and moves back and fourth when you shift it, the lower mounts are shot.

that rake dragging/ crunching sound is the abs self check, thats normal.

look into the e bake, and fix it too, if your parking on a hill, or sloped driveway, put the car in neutral then put on the e brake, let the car settle, then put it in park. this will keep it from jerking/popping out of park due to it pulling on the parking pawl, like said above.

till you get the e brake fixed, a 2x4 should fix you up for now, put it under a tire, put the car in neutral let it sit on that wood, then put it in park.

if this is at your house, just leave the wood where you park, drive over it, let the car roll back onto it.

the e brake can be adjusted from behind the back brakes dust shield, you will see a rubber plug, pop that off, inside is a star wheel, tighten it up. thats the adjuster for the e brake.

I figure maybe the previous owner most likely never used the parking brake and perhaps has worn out the parking pawl a bit. And that crunching sound is so odd lol. Never had a car do that.

I'll have to look further into the motor mounts. I was considering replacing all of them anyways and doing poly mounts in the dog bones. I figure since I want to DD this car for a long time they'll probably need replacing eventually anyways right?

I'll be back home tomorrow evening and I'll try to adjust the e-brake.

Thanks guys

just flipping the dog bone mounts makes the top side a lot tighter. and its free.

the crunching sound, it only happens when you first start the car up, then it crunches in the 1 st 20 feet or less when you drive off. right? thats normal. my regal will do it in reverse too. if you ride the brakes it wont do it till your off the brakes.

Yah thats what it does when it crunches. And yah I've read about the flipping. Would I notice the difference?

yes you will. if you go out to you car as it sits, grab the engine and push and pull it, it will move some, flipping the mounts stops almost all that movement. take one dog bone off and look how they are made/ sit in there, you'll see right away why it moves so much.
