Go to an audio store....They'll have spools that you can pick how long you want. Or they'll have pre-packaged lengths, usually from 15' to 21' . Typically 0 and 4 gauge.

Call all the car audio shops that are within driving distance, I would be suprised if any of them didn't have what your looking for. I did have to go to an RV shop and order some wire once but it was 2/0 which is absolutely monster. I had enough left over from having to order thier minimum that I saved it to relocate my battery one of these days.

call an electronics distributor. they'll sell you like a 200' roll or more, but probably nothing less.

I just need like 10 feet 12 if I just run all the way to the starter. Do I need to run a negative all the way up front too? Or can I just bolt it to the body in the trunk?

good wire has a ton of small strands.

bad wire has a few bigger strands.
