Crazy Grand prix. Help.

I have a 2008 Grand Prix. It won't start. Battery is fullly charged according to my charger. When I turn the key it makes clicking noises from the left side of the car. My gages start fluttering. My trunk even popped open. Not sure what's going on.

Along with what dsmuts said: Follow your battery cables down to where they connect to the starter/power distribution block and to chassis ground and check the connection tightness there.

Just replaced my battery yesterday. Even though it metered 12.8V at rest. It dropped down to 3 volts with a load applied. My gauges were "twitching" as well.

Clean the terminals and make sure everything is tight, but chances are the battery has dropped a couple of cells and needs to be replaced. Is this the original battery?

Hey guys. Thanks for the replies. I did take both cables off and cleaned them up. Started right up. It is not the original battery. It's a couple years old.
